Amra Delic acquired her bachelor and masters degree in the field of informatics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo. She is in the final stage of her PhD at the Faculty of Informatics, TU Wien, in Vienna. Her PhD research deals with group recommender systems in the travel and tourism domain. Specifically, her research covers a variety of human behavior aspects, providing a more in-depth, and comprehensive overview of group modeling for group recommender systems. In 2019, she has been regarded as one of the young experts at the Austrian Computer Science Day, and in January 2020, her story was published in the Emerging Scholar Profile section of the E-Review of Tourism Research. Currently, she is a co-chair of the RecSys Challenge sponsored by Twitter, and co-organized with the annual RecSys ACM conference. She is involved in a project named x3Light - a cooperation between the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, and the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the goal to develop an adaptive lightning framework that aims to optimize energy consumption and to enhance visitors’ experience, and she is a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, for Machine Learning, Data Mining and Decision Support Systems courses.
